Furnace Charging System
The Furnace Charging System is a specialized piece of equipment designed for use in ferroalloy production. It is specifically designed for charging a submerged electric arc furnace (SEAF) with raw materials.
The system consists of bunkers located on top of the furnace platform. The raw materials are fed into the furnace through pipes that are divided into two parts. The first part runs from the head bunker to the roof of the furnace, while the second part, made of water-cooled stainless steel, extends through the furnace roof into the furnace itself.
Each feeder pipe is equipped with two pneumatic dampers, one at the top and one near the roof of the furnace. This helps to regulate the flow of material into the furnace and ensures that the raw materials are evenly distributed for optimal melting and refining.
Overall, the Furnace Charging System is a reliable and efficient tool that is essential for the production of high-quality ferroalloys. It allows for precise control over the charging process, ensuring that the SEAF is consistently fed with the proper amount and quality of raw materials.
