DEMORA

Continuous Casting Machine

Continuous casting (CC) is the process of turning liquid steel into desired shapes by continuously solidifying molten steel as it moves through the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM). The end product of the CC machine is semi-finished steel that is prepared for subsequent rolling in the hot rolling mill. The Continuous Casting Machine is able to convert liquid steel into any desired shape and size such as billet, bloom, and slab, through a group of operations.

Demora provides continuous casting machines that are fully automated with high-tech centralized controlling stations. Numerous electromagnetic, thermal, and radiation sensors located at the various parts of the meltshop, are able to read the metal level, weight, flow rate, and temperature of the hot metal. The latest software in the controlling stations enables the customer to adjust various elements of the strand withdrawal process.

Demora’s patented Continuous Casting Machines essentially run on their own with their high-tech controlling stations and software, which will save you time, money, and worry. Contact us now and we will help you get your project off the ground.
